Every quarter Alzheimer's Project staff
provides an opportunity for volunteers to
talk to staff and let us know how their time
providing respite is going. It's also a time
to meet other volunteers, ask questions
about difficult situations and have some
fantastic food. This event has been
dubbed the Volunteer Chat N Chow.

Our next Chat N Chow will be sometime in
2011. Stay tuned for the next date! Also
don't forget about our Volunteer
Appreciation dinner!
Alzheimer's Project, Inc. could not function without the help of our
wonderful volunteers. Volunteers do a number of great things, including:
  • In- Home Respite
  • Facility Based Respite
  • Work in the Office
  • Change Project Lifesaver Batteries
We are ALWAYS looking for new volunteers to help our clients get a break
from their reality and be able to relax.  Volunteers provide respite once a
week for usually 2-4 hours at a time, whether at our facility based respite or
if they go into a patient's home.  Volunteers provide companionship.
Custodial or nursing care is not provided by volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a potential volunteer, please give us a call
and sign up for our next training date!

Volunteer Chat N Chow. There was record
attendance at this event, and the food was
provided graciously by the APT Board of
Directors.
